Here's my thought on this. The hardware that is supposed to be in the new P3s is top of the line for a next gen console. Adding all of this hardware up together should far exceed $1000. Is this Sony's way of cutting down costs in their first release. Tisk tisk Sony, you get people hyped up and then let them down (remember the PS2).
