Crazy in LA

Crazy lady lives in building across from mine, approximately 16 feet from my front door. She is really something else. She owns the building, a quadriplex, and has never rented to anyone. She has a beat up BMW that she drives around w/ out of state tags that expired in 1998. The building has windows busted out in every apartment and the grass is taller than me (I'm 5'4".)

When we moved in to our apartment she was living in the bottom one directly across from us. This one had insulation board over the broken windows and no door handle. Don't ask me how she got in and out of there b/c for the first 6 months of us living there, I can count on one hand how many times we actually saw her. The couple who was living in the apartment next to us had recently split up (she left his weird *ss) and it was only a matter of time before he (which shall be called Bird Man) and crazy lady (which shall be called Crazy Lady) befriended each other and "hooked up."

For a few months she lived with him next door to us. They were great together. They got along really well and were very neighborly to us. Everyone who had lived in our building before us had had a problem w/ her. But we didn't understand why. She liked us. Liked.

They later moved into her building in the apartment upstairs from the one she used to live in. For a few weeks they had been noticeably cold to us but we just thought maybe they want their privacy. Oh no, there was a problem brewing. They became extremely weird - even for them. We used to see them at least a couple of times a week. Meet up on the occassional smoke break. But it had been weeks since we'd seen them. They stay locked up in that apartment. "What do you think they're doing?" we wondered. Smoking crack? We were stumped. Then one day, Crazy Lady had it out with my boyfriend. She just went nuts. He called me and said that if she didn't shut up I was gonna have to beat her *ss. More to come...

There is one in every neighborhood, just not mine.
