First night of college

I made it through my first class. Usually your first class is nothing more than an orientation of sorts but we went straight to work. I've got two assignments due next week already.

Tomorrow night is my math class and orientation for my online class. I hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew. Once I get back in the swing of it and get use to studying again, I think I will make it through this semester.

In Memory

In memory of Cody Brandon Jones, aka "DJ Fjord," aka "Sound" of Sound and Fury. October 20, 1982 - May 24, 2005. This talented and well-rounded musician was taken too early and will be terribly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Dominos with a twist

Half-Life 2 Fan? Then you'll love this video. If you like standing dominos up on end and making them all fall down, then you'll love it too. Don't you wish we could do something like this. I have a few people in mind, I would like to try this on.

For those of you...

For those of you lucky enough to have a 21" widescreen flat panel display (nick, you bastard). Here is a site for some widescreen wallpapers.

I'm not an addict.....it's true

Are you addicted to your email? The average e-mail user in the U.S. has two or three e-mail accounts and spends about an hour a day reading, sending and replying to messages, according to Opinion Research Corp.

Me personally, I have (and use) 4 email addresses everyday. Addicted to email...no, blogging on the other hand is like crack. I told a friend of mine that before long they will start having Methablog clinics for people like me.

Xbox 360 to release near $300.00!

Microsoft is expecting to launch its new Xbox 360 gaming console at a price ~$300. There is still no final word of when the console will officially be launched, but it is "supposed" to be out before Christmas:Speaking to TheStreet.com, Allard said that he was "not sure" about the final price point, with a decision on pricing still "probably about two months away" - but confirmed that the price would "be in the neighbourhood" of the $300 price tag of Xbox at launch.

A great site

For those of you that like the interesting world of hacking, here is a site dedicated to hacking EVERYTHING from coke and pepsi machines to laser pens.

Transmit Audio with a Laser Pen
Using a simple laser pen pointer, a few misc parts, and about 15 minutes, you can make a simple laser communicator that converts a sound source into light that travels across a room, and back into sound with very little quality loss.

Using the hidden browser on the Sony PSP
If you haven't heard, there's a "hidden" web browser in the PSP! Apparently Sony built the functionality in but haven't released a web browser that we can use yet. However, there's one game that actually uses this browser, and with a little trickery we can take over and do whatever we want. The game is Wipeout Pure, a great game in its own right, but made even better by the fact that it lets us get to the PSP Browser (called the PSP Navigator according to the User Agent it reports itself as).

Microsoft releases E3 high-definition trailers

Microsoft have just released some high-definition trailers of some Xbox 360 games shown at E3. The titles shown include Call of Duty 2, Condemned, Dead Rising, Demonik, Final Fantasy XI, Frame City Killer, Full Auto, Ghost Recon 3, Kameo, Madden NFL 2006, NBA 2K6, NHL 2K6, Quake 4, Saint's Row, Test Drive Unlimited, and The Darkness.

My Prefix to be a thing of the past with Longhorn

"My Computer", "My Documents" and "My Network Places" will soon be things of the past when Microsoft cunningly and inventively replaces them with "Computer", "Documents" and "Network" when Longhorn technology replaces the current generation of Windows operating systems. Yes, brilliant minds at Microsoft have decided to drop the "My" prefix to certain desktop icons and folders, finally assuming that users are clever enough to realise that these things DO belong to them after all.

I made it through the long weekend!

A four day weekend can be both a blessing and a curse. I was getting used to not doing anything. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend. I managed to do as little as possible. I played Fable on the Xbox for hours. It's an addictive game that will have it grabs you after a couple of hours of gameplay.

I start back college tonight. I haven't been in like four years, so it will take some getting used to.

Good Morning

Ever since I was a child, I have loved Saturday mornings. Of course when I was a kid Saturday morning cartoons had a lot to do with that. Nevertheless I always woke up looking forward to the time between 7:00-11:00 am. It was a time when I could escape and be somebody else, pretend to be a superhero, or GI Joe, or Transformer. Nowadays I still look very forward to Saturday mornings, but my method has changed as I've gotten older . I make a fresh pot of Hurricane Espresso, flip on the telly to see a bit of the news, go to my office and connect to the internet, and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. By the time I'm done the coffee is made and my email is ready. I throw on my robe and put on some good relaxing music and dive headfirst into the wolrd via this PC. This is such a peaceful time for me. Reading my mail, news, feeds, and stories of freinds, I escape the world I'm living in and I feel as though I am somehow inside the internet and I find myself lost in stories and news for hours. It usually takes me finishing off a cup of coffee to come back and realize where I am at. So I return to the coffee pot

Now with a fresh cup by my side again I go back to the computer with the anticipation of a child getting to take another turn on a carnival ride. I have my own Saturday morning cartoons these days, they come in the form of humerous videos and great flash sites. So by the time 11:00 am comes around, I have taken in more information and news than I get to the rest of week. So I walk away looking foward to the next Saturday morning and ready to go and play "Life".

Closer

Wow, just wow. I know I am a little behind on this one, but I watched the movie Closer last night. I was amazed at how well written and directed it was. The story was so deep and thought provoking and yet it seemed so simple. I was blown away by "a story of two couples, caught in a web of passion and betrayal, struggle to find lasting love in a modern world".

This movie had my emotions literally going up and down, happy and sad. I felt so strongly connected to the main character Jude Law and seen so many similarities of the events of my life and the story between Dan (JudeLaw) and Alice (Natalie Portman). This is a must see!

Darth Vader to strike another movie deal?

Check out this video of the Sith Lord trying to make a few bucks.

Mouse Round up

If your like me, your mouse has become an extension of your arm. A good mouse is very important. Who would have thought back when the mouse first hit the scene that it would become such an important piece of hardware. A few things that I consider very important in a mouse are ergonomics, wireless, optical, laser, battery life, range, and functions. I am currently using the Logitech Wireless MX Duo . Now Logitech has a new laser wireless mouse I would love to get my hands on.

Here is a good review on some of the top mice on the market right now.

Modern day Abbott and Costello

Done in the world of today, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's infamous sketch, "Who's on First?" might have turned out something like this:

COSTELLO CALLS TO BUY A COMPUTER FROM ABBOTT.

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: Thanks. I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
ABBOTT: Mac?
COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou.
ABBOTT: Your computer?
COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.
ABBOTT: Mac?
COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou.
ABBOTT: What about Windows?
COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?
ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows?
COSTELLO: I don't know. What will I see when I look in the windows?
ABBOTT: Wallpaper.
COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.
ABBOTT: Software for Windows?
COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What have you got?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?
ABBOTT: I just did.
COSTELLO: You just did what?
ABBOTT: Recommend something.
COSTELLO: You recommended something?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: For my office?
ABBOTT: Yes.
COSTELLO: OK, what did you recommend for my office?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yes, for my office!
ABBOTT: I recommend Office with Windows.
COSTELLO: I already have an office with windows! OK, lets just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?
ABBOTT: Word.
COSTELLO: What word?
ABBOTT: Word in Office.
COSTELLO: The only word in office is office.
ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.
COSTELLO: Which word in office for windows?
ABBOTT: The Word you get when you click the blue "W".
COSTELLO: I'm going to click your blue "w" if you don't start with some straight answers...OK, forget that. Can I watch movies on the Internet?
ABBOTT: Yes, you want Real One.
COSTELLO: Maybe a real one, maybe a cartoon. What I watch is none of your business. Just tell me what I need!
ABBOTT: Real One.
COSTELLO: If it's a long movie I also want to see reel 2, 3 & 4. Can I watch them?
ABBOTT: Of course.
COSTELLO: Great! With what?
ABBOTT: Real One.
COSTELLO: OK, I'm at my computer and I want to watch a movie. What do I do?
ABBOTT: You click the blue "1".
COSTELLO: I click the blue one what?
ABBOTT: The blue "1".
COSTELLO: Is that different from the blue w?
ABBOTT: The blue "1" is Real One and the blue "W" is Word.
COSTELLO: What word?
ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.
COSTELLO: But there are three words in "office for windows"!
ABBOTT: No, just one. But its the most popular Word in the world.
COSTELLO: It is?
ABBOTT: Yes, but to be fair, there aren't many other Words left. It pretty much wiped out all the other Words out there.
COSTELLO: And that word is real one?
ABBOTT: Real One has nothing to do with Word. Real One isn't even part of Office.
COSTELLO: STOP! Don't start that again. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: That's right. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: I need money to track my money?
ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer.
COSTELLO: What's bundled with my computer?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer?
ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge.
COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?
ABBOTT: One copy.
COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money?
ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy money.
COSTELLO: They can give you a license to copy money?
ABBOTT: Why not? THEY OWN IT!

A FEW DAYS LATER...

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: How do I turn my computer off?
ABBOTT: Click on "START"...

I Love Carl Jr's

Ok, I had to share this one with those who have not seen Carl Jr's "contoversial commercial". I haven't heard a thing about it but DAMN it's good. This is a must see!

Typical office stuff

Ok, what is up w/ the incessantly "nosey one" in the office? Does she have nothing better to do w/ her time than to call me every hour on the hour looking for the boss? Why doesn't she call his cell? Aren't we in the 21st century? Not too mention, e-mail, blackberry, hello? She drives me nuts!

I'm Blogging This!

I really do like that phrase, "I'm blogging this", because if someone pisses you off, instead of jump kicking them to the ground and monkey stomping them until blood comes out of there ears (which by the way, if you have never seen a full grown man monkey stomp, it is hillarious), I can now take out my frustrations here. And I mean it to! If someone does me wrong, I will now hold in the monkey inside of me, look them square in the eye and say "I'm blogging this!". It works the other way too just as well, if I was happy with a particular movie or someone just treated me nice and I want to share it with everyone, I will smile and say "I'm blogging this."

After an hour and half late start to my date last night things went pretty well. We went out to eat and sat and talked the whole time. That's a first, I hate those akward long silences when you go out. We talked about everything, until I used the word animosity, and I guess I stumped her with a five syllable word. So with a confused look on her face I (being the quick thinker) decided to dumb it down a little with a three syllable word and said "enmity" a suitable synonym I feel. Still faced with the deer in the headlights look I quickly decided again to dumb it down a little more and said "some anger", and YES we are back on track.

Am I being unfair? I thought my vocabulary was very lacking. To be honest I don't think those words are uncommon. Anyway, so we got through that little speed bump and the rest of the night went really well. I was very pleased that the entire time we wear eating and talking her cell phone didn't ring. I was worried I would have to take turns talking to her. We need to go on a another date just like last night's. Just dinner, talk, get to know one another kind of night. All-in-all it was a good night.

Some friendly advice from the Captain

DO NOT try to open a beer bottle with a Zippo lighter. The scars on my fingers explain why. Trust me on this one!

Would you have guessed?

If you go to Google and click on image search, type in "major asshole", and see who the first pic is of. Don't ask me how I came across this one.

Just an observation

My posting about the terrible Friday night experience was gone unrealized until someone brought it to my attention. Friday was in fact Friday the 13th. I am not one to believe in that sort of thing but if someone wanted proof that it was an unlucky day just ask me!

On another note I am glad to see someone other than myself (thanks Sue ZQ) actually contributing to my blog (hint hint buddha, nick, SVxeno, get with the program!). I have really enjoyed being able to add my thoughts to the world of deaf ears. In a way, I hope this can keep a small and seperated community of friends together.

A Gamer's Manifesto

This is a great article written by a gamer for gamers. If you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, this is a great read. This guy nails it. It's expresses almost every true opinion I have about games and gaming consoles.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

What happened? Monday's are never this busy. I came in this morning with more work and deadlines due today than I've had all month. And somehow the stuff that went wrong was automatically put on me to fix. How did that happen? Anyway, I can finally seen the top of my desk. A paper bomb went off in my office close to lunch and I've been cleaning shrapnel up all day. I am beginning to despise Puerto Rico (not Puerto Rico itself), we have a sister company down there and I am the one that has to handle everything from them. Instead of calling me with a list of part #'s or model #'s, they like to call me and say "I want to order ten cameras". Well you know the whole CCTV market is pretty freaking huge, so I need a little more information i.e. manufacturer, model #, part #, etc. There idea of more information is:

"the cameras were fairly small & that the housings are about 1’ long for about 4” or 5” wide. The monitors are black & white. The battery back is as specified"

Come on, give me something I can work with people.! So the day is almost over and I feel like I need a vacation from today and this last weekend. It's got to get better......Right?

The Captain and a series of unfortunate events

What a weekend. This last weekend has been one of those that you actually wanted to go back to work. The following story is true. There will be no exaggerations.

After a long and boring day Friday at work I took off a little early to do some running around prior to having to attend a graduation ceremony at a local college. I went home, showered, shaved, and got dressed. I had some time to kill so I decided to go over to a friend house for a little while. I was there all of ten minutes when Buddha's wife called and said there was a snake at her front door and she could not get in her house. So I left and went straight over there. She was standing in the yard about 20 feet refusing to go near the house. By the time I got there the snake was gone, it had crawled in a hole on the porch. So we start watching a movie to kill some more time and the went to the graduation. We all wanted to get in and out because we had tickets to go see Episode 3. When we left the college, traffice was backing up and we realized there must have been a wreck. We inched up the road to find a car from the southbound lane upside down and in the median. There was no police or EMT's on the scene so Buddha and I (being trained first responders) pulled off the road, popped the trunk, grabbed the first aid kit, gloves, reflective vest and flashlight. Buddha went to the car and started triage. A county police officer had just arrived and I told him who we were and the situation. I told him I would handle the traffic. So I had to direct all of the graduation traffice around the accident and make room for emergency vehicles. After working the scene for over 30 minutes we decided to get Buddha's wife to go into town and get some food and pick us up after the wreck was cleared. When she tried to pull back onto the road my call was completely stuck. It took three big fireman to push my car out. It was covered in mud. An hour later, it finally slowed down enough where we could leave.

Exhausted, hungry and ready to relax at the movies, we pull in to the BRAND NEW movie theater. We sat in the parking lot and ate our late dinner. Then we went inside to watch the movie. It was a midnight showing and they did not even open the doors until midnight. We gathered in the theater and took our seats. After about 20 minutes of commercials and previews the movie finally started. Now keep in mind this is a brand new Carmike cinema. During the movie (episode 3, on of the biggest movies of all time) the lights would come on at random. The projector room lights would come on. The film itself would jump and skip. Ok, we could all live with that, the movie was good enough to look past all of that. Then about 3/4s into the movie the freaking reel burnt up. Everyone was completly pissed off. So we had to sit there for another 20 minutes waiting on the movie to restart. After they started it back up, we got to see parts of the movie in split screen (half on top and half on bottom). At this point the tempers were raging. Then when we thought we were in the clear at the very last of the movie (I'm talking 1 minute left) the F*#&ing reel burnt again. That was the last straw! Everbody poured out of there demanding a refund, but wait there wasn't anyone around. I'm not joking, there wasn't an employee anywhere to be found. Luckily the people there were decent people and didn't just trash the place and leave. So I go from door to door beating on anydoor that said employees only. I even went into the OPENED managers office to try and call up to the projector room, no one seemed to be there. After 20 minutes of pissed off searching this fucking ass of a man named (that's right I am naming this son of a bitch) Harold Bernard, comes out of one of the doors and had the audacity to say "Well at least you all got to see the whole movie". I looked at him, laughed and said "oh no, we are all here for a refund", Jackass then replies "how can I give you a refund, there is no cash here". I said you better do something and do it quick (it was 3:00am). He said all he could do was give us refund tickets, so I turned to the crowd and asked if that would be ok. Everyone agreed so we got our tickets and left. So I'm going to fire off some nasty emails to Carmike and the Better Business Bureau.

So it took the remainder of the weekend to recover from Friday nights events. I hope this is a good week!

I scored some swag

During my lunch break I visited my favorite game store Rhino Video Games in Decatur. Some radio station was there giving away tickets to Star Wars 3. I frequent this place and know all the employees by name and sadly they all know my name. They should with the amount of money I've dropped in there. Anyway I got to play a little of Episode 3 for the PS2 and I have to say, its pretty cool. I also got a couple of free tshirts, a pen, keychain, and a Rhino sports bottle. Big thanks to George, Fred, and Rusty.

Star Wars Episode 3

Well it looks like I'm going to get to see it tonight. After the graduation ceremony I have to go to, Buddha, his wife and I are going to the midnight show. I hope we will be able to actually sit and watch the movie. I hate going to the theater and getting stuck sitting behind some hyperactive kids or idiots that like to discuss the movie as it is playing. The new theater is supposed to have stadium seating so I won't have to worry about some dudes head right in the way. Unless it's some 7 foot freak.

Ipod to connect with Xbox 360

A good move on Microsoft's part. The Xbox 360 will be able to connect to other media devices to include Apple's Ipod. This could be a very big deal. The whole point of intergration is great, but so many people are using some form of the ipod these days, I'm glad to see this happen. It opens the market up that much more for the 360

The joys of inner office email

Sometimes there comes a time when two or more people find themselves arguing over something in the workplace. Maybe it's over design, products, manufacturing, or shipping, who cares, anyway. The things is, we fire off pissed off emails and copy everyone involved and everybody is raging mad about it and you get another email, and another, and another. finally the conflict has been resolved all via email. Then a little while later you run into the person(s) in the hall or at lunch and nothing is said. All is cool. Strange huh?

Longhorn or XP 64?

Out of curiousity, is there going to be release of XP 64? Is Microsoft just saying that to buy them some time before Longhorn hits the shelf? My first complaint is that name "Longhorn", come on Bill, get a better marketing department! Sure you can make a logo for a product named turd look cool with some great graphics and hip designs but the first thing I think of when I here Longhorn is a fucking cow! Which by the way requires lots of management, lots of space, lots of care, lots of resources and overall they stink. Hmm, not an image I want to have when I think about PC OS's. AMD has some pretty hot processors out there with their newest batch of the AMD 64 FX. I want to see operating systems and applications (not to mention games) that will use the CPU's capability. I understand that it takes a while for software developers to learn the new hardware and take advatage of it, but it's been in the making for so long, someone had to have a jump start on it.

Flunk This !!!!

This past week I have discovered a band out of Norway, called Flunk.
Its a blend of electronica and soft rock, their style is very interesting.

I first got turned to them by watching the movie "Walking Tall" with The Rock in it.
The song from the movie is a cover of the old New Order "Blue Monday"
Anja Øyen Vister, the lead singer, has an angelic voice that adds a feel to the song that is graceful.

Back to the norm

I have a lot of people who have been following my blog about the Next Gen consoles. It has taken a lot of time to find the good stuff and now that G4 has released so much information, I am going back to writting about my normal rants and raves. If anyone has any new info they would like to share, please leave some comments. So here it is Thursday morning, the week is almost over. I have a graduation ceremony to attend tomorrow night and hopefully a date for Saturday. I would love to catch Episode three this weekend but I don't see that happening. I'm not a superfan but the last two movies were really good. I go back to college in 12 days. I am excited but at the same time, a little nervous. I went to college after I got out of the Army and stopped going after 2 semesters. This time around I will be taking night classes and have decided to continue until I finish my degree. Plus I changed my major from business to computer networking. A big change, but I am more comfortable with computers than say being a lawyer or a doctor. Not to mention, I have the GI Bill paying for my tuition and the company I work for has a tuition reimbursement program.

I was wrong

After watching g4 TV coverage of E305, Nintendo Revolution is not going to be the innovative helmet design. Nintendo showed a much differnt version that didn't impress me much. However, I think all in all the PS3 will be a better gaming console. Xbox has an upper hand by its ability to integrate the PC and media center

XBOX 360 will be backwards compatible

I'm glad thats out of the way. MS would have been making a huge mistake had they not allowed for backwards compatability. Another snippit of good news is that Square Enix is coming to Xbox! Now lets just see what Final Fantasy will be like for the 360

Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Revolution

OK, here is the latest info I came up with.

First, the gateway to your PC, entertainment center, and the internet. With an impressive liquid cooled processor, 512MB of RAM, Wireless controls, and the Media center extender. The Xbox Dissected. The Xbox 360 is still scheduled for a November 05 release.

For the PS3, Sony went all out and sound like they are making one hell of a leap from the PS2 with a 3.2Ghz processor, WiFi, USB, and Blu-ray format (a long awaited advance in laser technology). The PS3 is believed to be released in the summer of 06.

And the Nintendo revolution. Just watch the video . Words cannot express my amazement! Nintendo wasn't just making a cool name by calling it the revolution. Nintendo is Revolutionizing the way gaming is experienced!

Stay Tuned

I have some great information on the Xbox 360, PS3, and the Nintendo Revolution. I will post the information tonight.

Xbox 360 - First Take Analysis

Here is a great article about Microsoft's direction of the XBOX 360. I can see that in almost every application MS makes it ties everything together. Microsoft is becoming the Wal-Mart of computers, gaming, and the internet. It's a one stop shop. How great will it be when our PC's Gaming Console, entertainment centers and the internet are all intergrated into one massive multimedia center!

Store Wars

With all the hype of episode 3 coming out this week, I found this to be really amusing. Take a look at this short movie . They did a good job in a weird no budget kind of way

I'm back up and running

Well PNY finally came through. I installed the card and new drivers and all is well. Why does Tech Support have to be such a bitch? Speaking of Tech Support, you have got to watch this video , it's so funny and true!

Circle of light

As I dig deeper into neurocam, I found a lot of references to the Circle of light. What it appears to be is a Christian religous cult of some kind. They are very much against neurocam and make their opinions puplicly known. If anyone has any info they would be willing to share, please let me know.

PC Help

If anybody out there has been following my post, you know I am looking to upgrade the home PC. I thnk right now the most beneficial (and economical thing) to do is to start out with a new case then go from there. I have linked 2 cases I am considering below. If anyone has any other cases you think I might like please let me know.

The mystery continues

I have been following several different sites and blogs regading a connection between the Circle of Light, Happiness, and Neurocam. After discussing the issue with some friends, I have decided to throw caution to the wind and go further into the neurocam mystery.

I got it back! Now let's see if it works

I finally received my graphics card back from PNY. They shipped it to my home address and requested a signature. Not a big deal (unless you work for a living). UPS tried to deliver it at 10:30 in the morning. Come on who's gonna be home to sign for that? Anyway, after careful negotiations with UPS I convinced them to deliver it here at work. I am looking forward to having a card again, let's just hope it works!

If anyone caught last night XBOX 360 debut on MTV, it was just a pathetic attempt to get some ratings. Anyone who has been following the next XBOX has already seen what they showed. Here is a video that gives you a little more. Enjoy

test

I am testing the blogging by email.

A little more info

I have almost came to the conclusion that Neurocam is an ARG. Upon further investigation it seems to fit. However the Neurocam disclaimer says the following:

neurocam is not a cult religion
neurocam is not a prank or a hoax
neurocam is not a game
neurocam is not a social experiment
neurocam is not an interactive website experiment
neurocam is not your fantasy
neurocam is not our fantasy
neurocam is not confined to the imagination
neurocam is not a study
neurocam is not a psychology experiment
neurocam is not an ARG
neurocam is not addictive

I call bullshit on the last one, it's addivictive as crack and I am not even a member. There is several more disclaimer that I did not list, but I think the ones listed above a relevant to this posting. Even if this is a game or real I still am finding it hard to resist.

Deeper in the rabbit hole

After making a few changes to my blog, my intention is to get more people interested in Neurocam. There are several unanswered questions I have, but I feel driven to investigate this further. It seems there are 3 types of people when you talk about neurocam. Those that have followed the rabbit hole and is activly involved as operatives, those (like me) who are growing more and more interested in it and is seeking the truth (with one leg in the rabbit hole), and those that do nothing but bash the idea of some clandestine organization (trying to close the rabbit hole) . Has anyone ever heard of the Freemasons or the Illuminati? These two organizations have been around for centuries and to this day, no one can really explain either one. Sure, everybody has theories as to what the groups have done or do.

I am getting sucked in

Okay, I have been living a double life. I think it's time to tell. No, I am not a cross dresser or anything. For about a month now I have been secretly following something I stumbled across called Neurocam . It's seems to be some type of secret organization located in both Australia and Europe. I am not sure of the nature of this organization, or if it is one big hoax or PR ploy, but I have to admit, it is really interesting. Upon registering, Neurocam decides whether or not they will accept you as a "member/operative", if they accept your application they send you an email saying they are doing a background check. If accepted, they then will send you various missions to complete. I have tried to make contact with some of the people working as "operatives" with no response as of yet. It seems very fight clubbish, however after reading several accounts with this group, it appears to be very large. Now, I know that if it was anything of mass importance, the Feds would be on it in a heartbeat. Maybe it's just a little harmless fun with tons of members getting to live a fantasy of a "spy". Please if you get a chance read up on this, I found a pretty good forum on it here. Let me warn you, once you start following this, you find yourself digging deeper and deeper into the subject. Everybody is naturally curious and this is certainly got my attention. Another spot to read a little more about this is Beltaine's blog . His page uses the same template as I do, but we are not connected. If anyone can shed some light on this, please let me know.

THAT'S MY DAWG! Posted by Hello

Dealing with the mundane

We are but creatures of habit. Most people have a set routine that they follow each day, and sadly I am becoming one of those people. I came home from work, sat down and watched some TV, ate dinner, and now I'm checking my email while listening to the news. It seems all to familiar. Monday-Thursdy it's the same thing over and over again. Friday evenings seem to be the only time I get to do something different. I think I am long overdue for a roadtrip.

A small victory

It was as if I has won big at a casino. I was driving home from work yesterday an found a gas station with regular unleaded for $1.97 a gallon. I was couldn't believe my eyes. It was a gratifying experience. I know it won't stay that way for long but damn it felt good to see gas below $2.00 a gal. Just 7 years ago I paid $0.67 a gallon out in Oklahoma, ah those were the good old days.

Let's see if they get it right this time!

After a long and tiring battle with PNY (see below), I finally received an email saying a replacement product has been sent. If was like last time it will take at least a week to get it back. I am at the mercy of my motherboard. I would have never went with PNY to begin with had I had an AGP slot, but no, my motherboard has PCI slots. Some of you may be saying "why not upgrade your mobo?", well it's like this. If I get a new mobo, I will get the best on the market (it's a fear I have about being outdated), now thats no problem, I could buy a top of the line motherboard from Asus at Pricewatch for a couple of hundred dollars. Here lies the problem, my current case will not hold these mobos. I have got a couple of cases in mind the Thermaltake Kandalf or the cooler master cavalier . Both of which would be another of couple of hundred dollars. Now if I go through with it and shell out the bones for this stuff I would need a few fans, a new power supply, a new graphics card and on top of it all, a new AMD 64 CPU . So you see, one little change opens a whole new can of expenses. Maybe PNY will come through with the goods.

Can Blogging be bad for you?

Actually, I find it to be somewhat of a release. Nobody wants to here me go on and on about the little things (like work) that just piss me off to the core. We all have our on problems and worries and quite frankly, if I was someone else trying to listen to me bitch and moan about work, I really wouldn't give a #%@ less. However I was reading the newest issue of business week about how blogs are changing the face of mainstream media and the internet itself. Now the opinions of the people are no longer expressed by the media. Now we all have a voice, which leads to my point about blogging being bad for you. Take for examlpe the case of Heather Armstrong. Heather was fired from her job because of her own personal blog. The word "Dooced" , was suddenly introduced into our modern vocabulary. It means to lose one’s job because of one’s website. I recommend if you get some time, read her blog where she outlines the postings that led to her being fired. Is it fair for one's personal website or blog to be held against them? It really poses a good debate.

Tardy much?

Ok, I don't understand why I am incessantly late! I mean is this like some characteristic stored deep in my genetic make-up? I am late for everything...which is very annoying. Since there is no cure for baldness is it unfair to ask for a cure for lateness?

Celebrating someones birthday....to be quite honest I wish I could remember who's Posted by Hello

Scot is DEAD. Well not really it was just training. Posted by Hello

Just another random thought

When I was growing up the term "geek" was a bad thing. Nowadays I prefer the term geek. I love TECHNOLOGY. It's as if I woke up one day and realized what the world is really coming to and it's quite simple. The world will soon revolve around e-commerce and e-marketing. This Blog is only the begining! Soon I will take over the WORLD! ........ok so that's a little over the top, however I will reap the benefits. Right Now I am currenlty listening to MP3's, surfing the web, posting my thoughts and beliefs and I have my home office linked to home entertainment system in the living room ....SO I am doing all from the comfort of my couch

I found this place just outside of Atlanta and I could not beilieve it, I had to take a pic of this one Posted by Hello

Musical rants and raves

Gwen Stefani. Has anyone noticed that she all of the sudden has spawned an obsession with japanese women and culture. What sparked this new interest? I am a big fan of hers. I seen No Doubt perform at Oak Mountain in Bham. I really like he solo work to although she seems to be drifting away from here So-Cal punk / Ska beginning. Maybe she will get back to her roots. On another note, I stumbled upon a new musical interest in my life. Anna Nalick, she's a relativly new artist with a great sound that remind me of a good cross between Fiona Apple (which I secretly love) and a young Jewel.

Anna Nalick is beginning to live her dreams. As one of a new breed of singer-songwriters for this young century, the 20-year-old California native has put the finishing touches on her debut album, Wreck of the Day, and the result is a refreshing blend of sophisticated wordplay, haunting melodies, sublime textures and atmosphere. With all music and lyrics written by Anna, Wreck of the Day signals the arrival of an unmistakable new voice in pop music, full of youthful exuberance and provocative reflection. www.annanalick.com/

Another artist I am certainly intrigued with is Keller Williams (thanks Erik). Keller has an amazingly eclectic sound and a familiararity of the Bare Naked Ladies or maybe some old Ben Folds Five. www.kellerwilliams.net/
