Accident-avoiding cars

Accident-avoiding cars are finally hitting the road. USA Today highlights some specific models, such as the 2006 Acura RL, which automatically stomps the brakes if it senses an impending collision. In the near future, look out for cars equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warnings, and more advanced versions of the Acura's pre-crash countermeasures.
